Sarah has worked as a lawyer in local government for nearly 15 years. Much of her career was spent at Coventry City Council, where she specialised in Information Management and Corporate Governance. In 2023, Sarah joined West Northamptonshire Council and is now a Principal Lawyer specialising in Contracts and Procurement.
Sarah is the National Lead for Information Management and the Board Representative for National Leads with Lawyers in Local Government.
In recognition of her contribution to the profession, Sarah was awarded the Birmingham Black Lawyers Lawyer of the Year Award and completed the Local Government Diploma in 2023.
Sarah is passionate about promoting careers in local government law and encouraging lawyers at all stages of their careers to consider the sector. Through her active social media presence, she champions the work of local government lawyers and the value of public service. Sarah has featured in the Top 20 of the Legal LinkedInfluencers In-House Lawyers Reports on both 2025 and 2026.
