Welcome to the National Junior Professionals Group of LLG
The Junior Professionals group of LLG looks after legal officers, paralegals, Filex/Cilex, trainee Solicitors and Solicitors with up to 5 years PQE who are working in local authorities.
Please keep in touch using the online forums to share your experiences (positive and negative) or to ask for help - only by hearing from you will we be able to help tackle the issues junior professionals are facing. Details of upcoming events will also be posted to the forum when available

Carla Bayona is a junior lawyer specialising in contracts, procurement and information law. She began her career as a legal assistant before progressing to a paralegal role, and went on to complete her training within a local authority. This pathway has given her a strong, practical understanding of how legal services support frontline delivery and decision-making across councils.
As Junior National Lead, Carla is keen to support and connect junior lawyers across the sector, helping to amplify their voices and create opportunities for collaboration, development and engagement. She is particularly interested in making the profession more accessible, sharing insights from early career experiences, and ensuring junior members feel represented and supported as they navigate their careers in local government.
