Wolverhampton City Council’s Litigation & Governance Team Presented with LLG Legal Team of the Year Award

LLG CEO Deborah Evans and Helen Bennett, LLG Executive Director of Policy & Governance, attended Wolverhampton City Council to personally present its Litigation & Governance Team with the LLG Legal Team of the Year Award 2026.

The visit provided an opportunity for LLG to recognise the team’s achievement and formally present the award in person.

Adam Sheen, Head of Litigation & Governance, said:

This latest success represents a significant milestone for Legal Services and builds on an exceptional track record of national recognition.

Recently, the service has achieved success across its core areas. The Corporate Team led the project that won the LLG Community Impact Project Award in 2023, while the Commercial Property Team was named Legal Team of the Year in 2025. The Litigation & Governance Team has now achieved the same distinction in 2026.

This sustained success places the service in a truly remarkable position and reflects its standing as a national leader.
