LLG Northern Regional Meeting - Wednesday 28 January

Welcome to the first Northern Regional Meeting of 2026, hosted by John Purvis, LLG's Director for the Northern Region.

We are delighted to be joined by Joseph Perkis (Solicitor from Construction & Engineering Team at Womble Bond Dickinson) who will be presenting on the Building Safety Act 2022, outlining the implications and responsibilities for local authorities as landowners and landlords.

This meeting will take place on Zoom and is FREE for members to attend.

Joseph Perkis, Solicitor

Joseph qualified into the Construction and Engineering team at Womble Bond Dickinson in September 2023, after completing his training contract with the firm. Joseph supports the team on transactional construction matters, after gaining valuable experience during his 6 month seat with the team.

Joseph has assisted with the drafting and negotiating of construction documents in relation to several large scale projects across a wide variety of sectors, including the energy, real estate, retail, finance, and public sectors.

Joseph has experience in drafting and supporting on a range of building contracts/schedules of amendments including JCT, NEC and IChemE contracts, as well as ancillary documents such as collateral warranties, consultant appointments and deeds of novation.

Joseph has collaborated with several teams across the firm to coordinate due diligence in relation to several high value projects. Joseph also has valuable experience with the issues surrounding the Building Safety Act 2022, which he gained whilst on secondment with a large property holding company.
