In the next meeting of the LLG procurement lawyers' group, we will be looking at some frequently asked questions on the Procurement Act 2023. The session will be hosted by our Procurement National Lead, Kieran McGaughey and Deputy National Lead, Kevin Carter. We are also delighted to be joined by guest speakers from our corporate partners Bevan Brittan LLP. Emily Heard, Partner and Head of Public Procurement and Kyle Duggan, Associate will be exploring some of the common queries crossing their desks of late. This will include:

  • Exclusion and debarment – screening your suppliers.
  • Contract management and performance – why it will matter so much under the Act
  • Robust evaluation process  - how the Act’s new Assessment Summaries will affect the process

As always, there will be the opportunity to ask questions of the speakers and share your insights with your local authority peers. With the Procurement Act set to come into force in October of this year, this is a session for in-house procurement lawyers which is not to be missed!
