Last year, the local government and legal community were immensely saddened by the untimely loss of our colleague Suki Binjal. She was a passionate public servant, respected lawyer, respected monitoring officer, wise legal leader and past president of LLG, a consultant striving to improve local authority governance, a thoughtful law society representative, a commissioner for public good and a driver for change within local government.
There will be an opportunity to celebrate her vibrant life and her many achievements in a memorial service at Hackney Town Hall on the 30th May 2025 at 2.30pm. This will be an uplifting celebration of her life and work, where many a story will be shared. All are welcome, but we kindly ask that you register your attendance with us so that we can gauge numbers.
Afterwards we intend to raise a glass or a cup or two in memory of the great character that was Suki at a local hostelry. We hope to see you there.
