LLG Awards 2024 Shortlisting Nominees have been Announced!

The anticipation is mounting as the LLG gears up for its annual celebration of the LLG Awards at our upcoming Spring Conference in Leeds on Friday, 7 June 2024.

The LLG Awards honour individuals and teams who exemplify unwavering dedication, innovation, and expertise in their fields; with various categories highlighting excellence, the event promises to be an evening of celebration and recognition. 

We are delighted to inform you that our judging panels have now taken place, thus shortlisting of nominees has been completed. Please note that the winner and highly commended nominees for each category will be announced at our LLG Awards dinner.

The award categories for 2024 and shortlisted nominees are as follows:

Junior Lawyer of the Year 

The shortlisted candidates are:

Legal Professional of the Year  

The shortlisted candidates are:  

1) John Wenham - London Borough of Hackney 

2) Alison Freeth – Warwickshire County Council 

3) Sioned Harper – Warwickshire County Council 

4) Cath Whitehead – West Northamptonshire Council 

Excellence in Training Award  

The shortlisted candidates are:

1) Coventry City Council 

2) Gloucestershire County Council 

3) Wakefield Council 

4) Warwickshire County Council 

5) Wigan Council 

Significant Contribution to Local Government Law and Practice 

Please note, there are no shortlisted candidates for this category. The winner will be announced at the award evening.
