The LLG National Work Experience Week 2025 is back!
If you have an interest in law and local government, now is the perfect time for you to submit an application and tell us why you would be interested in the opportunity to work alongside local government lawyers.
Taking place between 30 June to 04 July this year, you will be shadowing local government lawyers for a week where no day will be the same. Whether your experience is in-person, remote, or on a hybrid basis, you will be assigned to an authority who will tailor your experience to what you want to know about local government, so that you can gain the most out of it. After spending some time with your assigned authority, you will attend webinars where you will be getting various insights into specific areas of the law, talking to trainee lawyers to hear about their experiences, and learning from lawyers with years of experience in their fields.
This is a fantastic way to gain legal work experience, delving into the heart of local government with the very real possibility that this could be the first step towards your fulfilling career as a local government lawyer! As a local government lawyer, you may find yourself working on diverse projects, from commercial infrastructure proposals to climate change agendas. With over 5000 lawyers already making a significant impact on our communities, this is your chance to join their ranks and influence positive change.
Who can apply?
This opportunity is aimed at final year law students, recent graduates and LPC/SQE students. However, if you are a first/second year student, or a student not currently studying law, but are interested in law and local government, we would love to receive your application.
Don't miss out on this incredible chance to kickstart your legal career! Act fast, as applications close on 31 March 2025.
