New Year, new start. It’s often a time of reflection, a time to commit to change, a time for resolutions to be different, act differently, or change our approach.
Lawyers and governance experts working in Local Government have tough jobs - heavy workloads, and heavy shoulders bearing serious responsibilities. January is a great time to try a new approach to your working life, exercise a little more self care, build resilience, and practice new techniques for stress management. Professionals, often feel stuck in their daily routine and are reluctant to try something new.
F. Scott Fitzgerald once wrote
“For what it’s worth: it’s never too late (or too early) to be whoever you want to be. There’s no time limit. You can change or stay the same, there are no rules to this thing. We can make the best or the worst of it. I hope you make the best of it. And I hope you feel things you never felt before. I hope you meet people with a different point of view. I hope you live a life you’re proud of. If you find that you’re not, I hope you have the courage to start all over again.”
LLG Wellbeing week on the 23rd - 27th January offers you that chance of a fresh start. It’s free, with engaging, friendly webinars and interactive sessions throughout the week designed to increase understanding, learn new tools, and promote self development.
You too can have that fresh start.
