Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman: interim Ombudsman appointment

Paul Najsarek has been appointed as the interim Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman by His Majesty the King, on the advice of the Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities. He has also been appointed as Chair of the Commission for Local Administration in England, the official body which runs the Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman service.

This interim appointment has been made for a term of 6 months from 1 April 2023. A recruitment campaign for a permanent Ombudsman is underway and is expected to conclude in autumn 2023.
