LLG welcomes the government's response which is largely positive, to achieve the aims and ambitions we have long been campaigning for.
The response does raise some questions, and LLG will be co-ordinating with its members and inviting views to in order to inform the legislative process and next steps.
We are uniquely positioned to assist MHCLG and the launch of our Professional Body for Monitoring Officers will be pivotal in shaping the future of standards in local government for the benefit of our communities.
