She has experience of working in house for Housing Associations and also Local Government, and is currently the Housing Disrepair Team Leader at Leeds City Council and a Law Society Housing Law Committee member and current Chair. Rosemary is also a member of the SHLA.
My name is Ashlene Simpson, I work at Leeds City Council as a Principal Legal Officer in the Housing Disrepair Team of the Civil Litigation & Housing section. I have over 8 years experience in dealing with Housing Condition Claims. I have dealt with various Housing Condition matters under the pre-action protocol and also cases in which proceedings are issued including housing disrepair counter-claims. I have conducted advocacy on contentious applications including applications for joint inspections, re-allocation and strike out in part. I have also dealt with matters issued under the Part 8 procedure for breach of settlement and injunction proceedings due to no access for works. I have experience dealing with other Housing matters including possession claims brought under the Housing Act 1985.
