We are delighted to invite you to join us for a brand new Housing Conference, delivered online on 20th October. The Conference will provide a full day of thorough, practical learning on the latest developments in housing law delivered by leading experts from our corporate partner law firms and barristers’ chambers. Speakers will explore the latest legislative and policy changes and case law developments, with a specific focus on areas of particular relevance to local authority housing lawyers and officers.
Louise Mansfield, Legal Director with Bevan Brittan, will be discussing building safety, before delegates hear from Rachael Fawcett and Matthew Lake from Weightmans who will be exploring housing condition claims. Barristers Andy Land and Alistair Cantor from Cornerstone will provide a detailed update on the Renters (Reform) Bill and grounds for possession of tenanted properties, followed by a session looking at the revised regulatory consumer standards for social housing with Claire Ward from Anthony Collins. The final session of the day will explore issues relating to homelessness including allocations and EA 2010.
Each session will provide attendees with the opportunity to ask questions and share their thoughts and experience. Whilst the event will be held across one day, all sessions will be recorded and made available to download, providing the opportunity either to engage for the whole day or to attend selected sessions on the day and then catch up in your own time. The Conference offers an ideal opportunity for housing lawyers, officers, and anyone working in a local authority housing team to get right up to date with the most important recent developments in housing law.
A full programme and details of all speakers will be available shortly.
