The Post

In our Contracts & Governance team we are looking for a Senior Lawyer – Capital Projects to lead on a range of diverse, high level and complex contract matters. The post involves working with a range of Council officers and external experts to deliver the Council’s ambitious regeneration and construction programmes.

We welcome candidates with relevant experience from both the public and private sector to apply. Candidates with private sector experience must have a solid understanding of how local authorities operate and demonstrate their ability to transfer knowledge and skills to successfully deliver a service within a local government context.

The Person

As an experienced contracts lawyer, you will have a sound understanding and extensive experience of regeneration projects, procurement regulations and statutory processes that apply within local government.  You will have specific expertise in advising on construction and other regeneration related contracts. You will be a strong team player, able to play an effective influencing role in project teams, with enthusiasm for delivering on projects.
