We are looking to recruit a practising Solicitor or Barrister to provide legal advice, support and assistance to council officers and members on contentious and regulatory functions relating to housing law, with a focus on disrepair claims.

The post holder will undertake the full range of civil and criminal litigation and regulatory law work including complex drafting, conducting hearings and appearing as advocate on behalf of the Council in particular in respect of Housing functions.

Substantial experience of complex legal case work (especially on disrepair claims), legislation and procedure in civil courts is essential for this role along with excellent communication skills.
