£39,493 - £43,516 per annum - plus market forces supplement (£2,331 per annum)

Full-time 37 hours per week

Permanent East Staffordshire Borough Council’s in-house Legal Services has an exciting opportunity for a senior contracts lawyer to join its friendly, supportive and experienced legal team on a permanent contract. Eligible candidates should be qualified as a solicitor or barrister and possess relevant experience in contract law and a good knowledge of procurement law. Previous local government experience would also be desirable but not essential.

This post would suit an experienced Contract and Procurement Solicitor and/or a solicitor looking for their next career step and experience in other areas. The post will require attendance as legal advisor to the licencing committee on a monthly basis and the handling of some litigation matters. Support and training shall be provided on any regulatory duties where required.
