Essex Legal Services ("ELS") is the in-house legal service for Essex County Council, one of the largest local authorities in the country. ELS also acts for external public bodies.

ELS is currently recruiting for a Criminal and Enforcement Solicitor/Legal Executive to be part of a specialist law team, who will work closely with colleagues to ensure the delivery of a high performing, client facing legal service which proactively embraces change.

You will be responsible for the delivery of all aspects of legal advice within your team, where you will be expected to build strong relationships with internal and external partners. You will be involved in potentially high profile and ground-breaking criminal and enforcement matters and will advise clients on aspects of criminal and enforcement law in demanding circumstances which will at times have far reaching consequences.
