We have a great opportunity for a hardworking, motivated and adaptable individual to join Mansfield District Council’s Legal Services. The Legal Services team offers a professional comprehensive, tailor-made service to address legal issues of every description.
We have specialist lawyers carrying out procurement, litigation, property, planning and governance work, and aim to provide our clients with an excellent and comprehensive service. The team is highly motivated, eager to develop and face challenges head on.
As Trainee Solicitor, you will receive training with a view to admission as a Solicitor. You will undertake work of a legal or quasi-legal nature; deal with matters relating to legal proceedings in Courts and Tribunals; deal with procurement, contracts, conveyancing, property transactions and planning matters; prepare and issue orders, Notices and documents; and undertake legal research.
We are looking for high-calibre candidates who:
- Are self-motivated and enthusiastic with a strong desire to learn;
- Have good research and analytical skills;
- Excellent IT and communication skills, with ability to relate well to others;
- Have a commitment to training and self-development; and
- Wish to pursue a career in Local Authority law.
