November is jam-packed with many courses, including the exciting addition of several brand-new courses for 2025!
We begin the month with Navigating Data Protection Law on the 6th, this is a great course targeted at anyone who is new to dealing with data protection and information management or anyone in need of a refresher.
Our long-awaited Child Protection Conference is on the 7th, providing a full day of training on the latest legal and policy developments affecting local authority lawyers and officers working in child protection. With sessions on RE A Compliance in Care Proceedings, Deprivation of Liberties and many more, this is an unmissable conference for those working in this area.
November offers the perfect line up for any Monitoring Officers or Deputy Monitoring Officers, as we begin with Dealing with Standards of Conduct of Elected Members on the 10th, covering the full range of issues that colleagues dealing with this topic need to feel confident in.
Then we have two dates for our brand-new, and incredibly popular, course for 2025: All change! The twin challenges of devolution and local government reorganisation – what this means for Monitoring Officers and their teams on the 12th and 19th, offering MOs and their teams a timely and in-depth opportunity to explore the implications of devolution and local government reorganisation.
We finish off the MO theme with The Role of the Monitoring Officer: The Fundamentals on the 20th, exploring the fundamental elements of the role of the Monitoring Officer in a council/local authority; enabling delegates to feel confident about what the role of the MO entails and to have a platform for undertaking the responsibilities effectively.
Are there any housing or litigation lawyers reading this? Well, look no further than our November course provision! Starting with Section 106 Agreements on the 11th; providing a solid overview including the relevant legislation, planning obligations and the construct of the S106 agreement itself.
We round-off the month of courses aimed at housing & litigation lawyers with our course Premises Closure Orders on the 26th, providing attendees with a solid understanding of the key principles and procedure relating to premises closure orders.
